Privacy Policy

The data controller is the NGO “Zelenyi Prytulok” (Green Shelter), a dog shelter based in Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” No. 2297-VI.

We only collect the data you voluntarily provide through the website's forms:

• the dog adoption application form — name, phone number, email (optional), comment;

• the volunteer application form — name, phone number, email (optional), comment;

• the donation form — name, email, amount and an optional message;

• the contact form — name, email, and your message.

Donation payment details are entered directly on the payment provider's own page — we do not see or store your card number.

The website may also store a technical cookie that remembers your chosen interface language (Ukrainian/English). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

We use personal data solely to:

• review your adoption application and get in touch with you about it;

• review your volunteer application and get in touch with you about it;

• process a donation and confirm it with you if needed;

• respond to messages sent through the contact form.

We do not use your data for marketing or newsletters without a separate, explicit consent.

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, given by filling out and submitting the relevant form on the website (Art. 11 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”).

Data submitted through the adoption and volunteer forms is stored in a database on the Supabase platform and automatically sent as a notification to the shelter's internal Telegram chat, so volunteers can respond to your request quickly.

Donations are processed through the monobank and PayPal payment services. Payment details (such as your card number) are entered directly on those services' side and are handled under their own privacy policies; we do not receive or store this data.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data is retained for as long as necessary to process your request and any related communication, but no longer than 3 years from your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required by law. After that, the data is deleted or anonymized.

Under applicable personal data protection law, you have the right to:

• find out what data we hold about you;

• request correction of inaccurate data;

• request deletion of your data;

• withdraw your consent to processing at any time.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, unauthorized access, or disclosure.
